Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, founder of Adoration Ministry Enugu, has claimed that former President Goodluck Jonathan brought about his own electoral defeat by ignoring the advice of a man of God.
“Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s case is different. He decided to fåil. I told him what to do to win the election, but he refused.
He fåiled because he disobeyed the advice of a man of God,” Mbaka said.
The remarks came amid widespread båcklash the cleric received on social media following comments he made in a recent broadcast regarding the kidn@pp£d schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.
Mbaka had described the May 15, 2026, abd¥ction of 39 pupils and seven teachers from three Oyo State schools as a “satanic political agenda” against President Bola Tinubu.
The criticism also triggered the resurfacing of older recordings in which he had spoken against the former president.
As the victims remain captive with reports indicating that one teacher has been b£headed Mbaka’s comments have sharply divided public opinion, with critics accusing him of politicising tragedy while supporters have defended his remarks as spiritual insight.
The controversy echoes a long history of provocative prophecies and public statements that have made the cleric a polarising figure in Nigerian religious and political discourse.
