Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has appointed a new Special Adviser on Security and Coordinator of Operation Rainbow, a state-owned security outfit.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Samuel Jatau, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Tuesday in Jos.
According to the statement, Mutfwang appointed retired Maj.-Gen. Bala Isandu as his new Special Adviser on Security.
Isandu replaced retired Brig.-Gen. Gakji Shipi, who has been redeployed as the Coordinator, Safe School Initiative in the state.
Jatau also said that the governor approved the appointment of Brig.-Gen. Nash Yakubu as the Coordinator of Operation Rainbow.
The governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to live above board.
