Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly generally known as Asake, has disclosed that his relationship along with his father, Fatai Odunsi, turned strained after he selected to pursue a profession in music.
Asake, in a current interview with YouTuber, Korty EO, stated his father strongly opposed his profession selection.
The Sungba crooner additional acknowledged that he disobeyed his father by absconding from him to chase his dream.
He stated, “My dad and I have been so shut once I was youthful.
“But it bought to a time once I needed to go away dwelling to do what I’m doing now however my father stated ‘No.’ I left regardless.”
Recall that in March 2025, Asake’s father made headlines after he accused the singer of neglect and abandonment.
Following the heavy backlash, Asake and his father reconciled, with the singer taking accountability for his dad’s welfare.
