NCDC confirms isolated COVID-19 case in Cross River

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed a COVID-19 case in Cross River State, stating that the patient has been isolated and is currently in stable condition.

In a statement, the agency said the individual is receiving appropriate care in line with national treatment guidelines.

It added that response measures, including contact tracing, surveillance, and infection prevention protocols, have been activated in collaboration with the Cross River State Ministry of Health and relevant partners.

According to the NCDC, all identified contacts are being monitored, noting that there is no indication of widespread transmission at this time.

The agency advised members of the public to continue observing good hygiene practices, remain at home when unwell, and rely on updates from official health authorities.
