Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had ordered the military to intensify its offensive in Lebanon claiming to “crush” Hezbollah, as Israeli attacks continue to violate the US-brokered ceasefire agreement.
“I have ordered an even greater acceleration of our operations,” Netanyahu said in a video statement posted on his Telegram channel on Monday.
“It is true that they are attacking us with drones, including fibre-optic drones, but we have teams working on countermeasures and we will solve this issue… We will intensify our blows, increase our firepower, and we will crush them.”
The warning came as four people were killed and three others injured in an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon, marking a new violation of the ongoing ceasefire, according to Lebanese media.
The casualties were reported in the attack that targeted the cemetery of Kafr Roummane town in Nabatieh, state news agency NNA reported.
