Next Time, No Matter Who Calls To Beg, You Will Still Be Jailed — Blue Water Guards Warns Two Galamseyers After Catching Them In The Middle Of Road Doing Galamsey

Two illegal miners caught red-handed destroying a water body in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal District have walked away with only a warning after their arrest by Blue Water Guards operatives.

Footage circulating online shows the pair, faces and clothing caked in mud, being marched along a dirt road with their hands cuffed behind them, an escort trailing close behind.

In a separate clip, officers are seen at the mining site itself, working alongside the suspects to retrieve heavy equipment used in the operation, including a large water pump partially buried in rubble and gravel near the excavated area.

Rather than being hauled straight to the cells, the two men were handed back their machinery and told to leave the site but the leniency came with a sharp caveat.

The Blue Water Guards made clear that a repeat offence would not be met with the same mercy. Anyone caught mining in the area again faces jail time, and their equipment will be destroyed on the spot.
