Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has said Nigeria’s future remains bright under the APC-led administration, urging citizens to remain hopeful and support government efforts to address the country’s challenges.
Namadi made the call as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, saying nation-building requires patriotism, collective sacrifice and cooperation between citizens and governments at all levels.
The governor acknowledged the challenges confronting the country but said the sacrifices of Nigerians and successive administrations had helped preserve the nation’s unity and strengthen its position internationally.
He pointed to ongoing reforms, infrastructure projects and improvements in public services as indications of progress, while urging Nigerians to remain committed to the development of the country.
Namadi also said the APC-led Federal Government was working to create opportunities for Nigerians to develop their skills, earn sustainable incomes and improve their living standards.
Meanwhile, the governor has commenced consultations with APC stakeholders in Jigawa North-West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said the consultations were aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and coordinating its activities ahead of the polls, including support for President Bola Tinubu and APC candidates in Jigawa State.
Jigawa APC Chairman, Ahmed Maikudi M.K., said the party had consolidated its structure across the state under Namadi and was preparing for the 2027 elections.
The governor called for continued unity, patriotism and collective responsibility as Nigeria marks 66 years of independence.
