Would you like to say something about yourself?

I am Hon. Blessing Maduka, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BMS GLOBAL. I am a real estate entrepreneur, a public speaker, a women advocate, and wealth creation strategist committed to helping individuals and families build sustainable wealth through real estate investment. Over the years, I have dedicated my life to empowering people, creating opportunities, and contributing to nation-building through housing and economic empowerment initiatives.

Your company, BMS GLOBAL was one of the leading real estate companies that bagged awards at the recent Real Estate Conference and Recognition Award 2026 held in Lagos. What does this award mean to you and your team?

Thank you so much. This award is not just a personal recognition; it is a celebration of hard work, consistency, excellence, and the dedication of the entire BMS GLOBAL team. It reminds us that our efforts in transforming lives through real estate and empowerment are being noticed and appreciated. It inspires us to do even more.

What was your immediate reaction when you received the letter for this award?

Honestly, I felt deeply grateful to God. I was excited, humbled, and encouraged at the same time. Awards like this remind one that hard work, integrity, and service to humanity still matter. My immediate thought was gratitude to everyone who has supported our vision over the years.

As a recipient of this prestigious award, how do you hope to use your platform to make a positive impact on your community or industry?

I believe recognition comes with greater responsibility. I intend to use this platform to continue advocating for youth empowerment, women inclusion, financial literacy, and affordable housing opportunities. Through our initiatives and mentorship programmes, we want to inspire more people to believe in the possibilities within Nigeria’s real estate sector.

As a real estate practitioner, what do you consider as the major challenges facing Nigeria’s real estate sector?

Some of the major challenges include high cost of building materials, land documentation issues, inadequate infrastructure, multiple taxation, and limited access to affordable mortgage financing. There is also a need for stronger policies that encourage private sector participation and make home ownership more accessible for average Nigerians.

How does your work address housing affordability and accessibility in Nigeria?

At BMS GLOBAL, we intentionally create flexible payment plans and affordable property packages that allow low and middle-income earners to own land and properties without unnecessary pressure. We also educate people on the importance of early investment and financial planning, helping many Nigerians become property owners who ordinarily may have thought it impossible.

You are the Founder of the Real Estate Executive Club. What is the vision behind this exclusive club?

The vision behind the Real Estate Executive Club (REC) is to build a network of financially empowered individuals who can create wealth through real estate. It is more than a realtor platform; it is a wealth-building movement designed to train, empower, and reward members through opportunities in property marketing, personal development, and investment education.

What is your advice to aspiring real estate practitioners?

My advice is simple: build credibility, stay consistent, and never stop learning. Real estate is a business of trust. Be patient, maintain integrity, understand your market, and focus on solving problems for clients rather than chasing quick profits. Success will definitely come with persistence and professionalism.

What is next? Now that you have received this recognition, what are your goals and aspirations for the future?

This recognition is only a motivation for greater works ahead. Our focus is to expand our reach across Nigeria and beyond, develop more affordable housing projects, empower more young people financially, and position BMS GLOBAL as one of Africa’s leading real estate brands.

What are the biggest opportunities in Nigeria’s real estate market right now?

Nigeria remains one of the fastest growing real estate markets in Africa. Opportunities exist in affordable housing, smart estates, commercial real estate, short-let apartments, agricultural real estate, and emerging locations around major infrastructure projects such as the Lekki Free Trade Zone and coastal developments. Investors, who position themselves early, stand to benefit greatly.

How do you see the industry evolving in the next five years?

I see greater technology integration, smarter housing solutions, increased urban development, and more interest from diaspora investors. The demand for housing will continue to rise, and companies that embrace innovation, transparency, and customer-focused services will dominate the future of the industry.

How do you give back to the community through your work?

Giving back is very important to me. Through empowerment programmes, mentorship, advocacy, and community-based initiatives, we support youths, women, and aspiring entrepreneurs. We also create opportunities for people to earn legitimate income through our real estate network and empowerment platforms.

How do you see the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration?

I believe every administration should be supported where there are genuine efforts toward economic growth, infrastructure development, and national stability. The Renewed Hope Agenda presents opportunities for reforms and development, particularly in infrastructure and housing. However, I believe Nigerians also expect policies that directly reduce hardship and improve living standards for ordinary citizens.

What are your views on the proposed creation of State Police?

Security is a critical issue in Nigeria. I believe conversations around State Police should be approached carefully and strategically. If properly structured with accountability and constitutional safeguards, it could improve local security response and community policing. However, there must be measures to prevent abuse or political misuse.

You are an advocate of women’s adequate representation in politics. What informs your passion for this cause?

Women are highly capable and have consistently proven themselves in leadership, business, and governance. My passion comes from the belief that society progresses faster when women are given equal opportunities to contribute meaningfully. Inclusion brings balance, innovation, and stronger representation of societal needs.

Do you foresee a woman president emerging in the Nigerian political space?

Yes, absolutely. I foresee a Nigerian female president in future. Nigeria has competent, intelligent, and visionary women who can lead effectively. I believe it is only a matter of time before the country embraces female leadership at the highest level. The important thing is continuous advocacy, political participation, and creating opportunities for women to rise.

What strategy do you think the opposition parties can use to defeat the incumbent government?

Strong leadership, unity of purpose, issue-based campaigns, and genuine connection with the people are very important. Nigerians are increasingly interested in competence, credibility, and practical solutions to national challenges. Any opposition that wants to succeed must focus on national interest rather than division.

What is your guiding philosophy?

My guiding philosophy is: ‘Success is most meaningful when it creates opportunities and transforms lives’. I strongly believe in integrity, hard work, service, faith in God, and continuous growth.

Who are your role models or mentors? Who are the people that support and inspire you?

I draw inspiration from visionary leaders, successful entrepreneurs, and individuals who have used their platforms to positively impact humanity. I also deeply appreciate the support of mentors, family, friends, my team, and everyone who believes in the BMS GLOBAL vision. Their encouragement continues to inspire me every day
