The Secretary of the Nigeria Premier Football League Club Owners Association, Mr. Amobi Ezeaku, has officially stepped down from his position.
Mr Ezeaku who is also the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of reigning NPFL Champions Rangers International FC of Enugu, publicly confirmed the decision in a statement he posted on his verified social media accounts.
In the statement, the lawyer-turned-football administrator expressed gratitude to the association and his colleagues for the opportunity to serve, stating that he is leaving the secretariat role to prioritize his other commitments and continue contributing to the broader Nigerian football ecosystem.
Mr. Ezeaku equally made it clear that his resignation does not diminish his contributions to Nigerian Football while wishing the association continued success in all its future endeavours.

It could be recalled that recently, while addressing rumours linking coach Fidelis Ilechukwu with a possible departure as well as his own future, Ezeaku stated that Rangers remain committed to continuity and stability.
“My availability as General Manager will be officially confirmed within the next 21 days. I won’t be making the decision alone; I have a family, supporters, and I have to think about my mental health. Just give me time to clear my head” Ezeaku said.
He also highlighted the club’s cordial relationship with other teams in NPFL, concluding, “Our dream is to win the CAF Champions League.
