The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially launched Rev360, its next-generation tax administration platform, as part of efforts to make tax payment easier, fully digital, and more efficient for Nigerians.
The Go-Live of Rev360, which took effect on 30 April, marks the agency’s transition to what it describes as Tax Administration 3.0, a system designed to move tax processes from manual and fragmented operations to a fully integrated and intelligent digital ecosystem.
Nigeria Startup News reports that the launch follows the implementation of Nigeria’s 2025 tax reform, which came into force on 1 January. The reform is aimed at harmonising the country’s tax system by reducing multiple and overlapping taxes, consolidating them into a unified structure to simplify compliance and improve the ease of doing business.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the NRS said Rev360 introduces “a more seamless, transparent, and efficient approach to managing tax obligations,” noting that the platform is built to meet the evolving needs of taxpayers across the country.
According to the agency, Rev360 represents a shift towards a taxpayer-centric model, offering real-time access to tax information, simplified filing processes, and improved service delivery.
“Rev360 represents a transformational step in the NRS’s journey from manual and digitised processes to a fully integrated, intelligent, and taxpayer-centric system.
“It builds on previous advancements in digital tax administration and introduces a more seamless, transparent, and efficient approach to managing tax obligations,” the statement read.
The rollout is part of a broader institutional reform programme being driven by the NRS to modernise its operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall taxpayer experience.
Speaking on the development, the Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, said the platform is designed to eliminate the stress associated with tax payments and create a more user-friendly system for individuals and businesses.
“Rev360 is more than a platform; it is a statement of intent. It reflects our commitment to building a tax system that works seamlessly for every Nigerian, strengthens trust in public institutions, and supports the growth of our economy.
“This is about creating a future where tax administration is not a burden, but an enabler of national development,” he said.
Ahead of the launch, the NRS implemented a nationwide readiness programme to ensure stakeholders across the tax ecosystem were adequately prepared for the transition. This included End-User Training (EUT) sessions conducted across tax offices, as well as stakeholder webinars involving taxpayers, consultants, and professional and business associations.
The agency also carried out physical sensitisation campaigns in multiple regions, alongside live demonstrations and guided walkthroughs of the platform. Supporting materials such as product videos, change impact videos, and “how-to” content were deployed to aid onboarding, while a comprehensive Rev360 User Guide was distributed.
To support users post-launch, the NRS established a structured feedback and support framework. This includes a detailed set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) based on stakeholder interactions, a multi-channel feedback system for capturing user input, and a defined response process to ensure timely resolution of issues.
“These efforts are aimed at ensuring that taxpayers, consultants, and all users of the platform are not only aware of Rev360, but fully prepared and supported in its use,” the agency stated.
Rev360 is expected to deliver improvements across the entire tax lifecycle, including simplified processes, faster service delivery, enhanced transparency, and real-time visibility into transactions. The NRS added that the platform will strengthen compliance, improve revenue administration, and significantly enhance the taxpayer experience.
The implementation of Rev360 will be carried out in phases, starting with Medium and Emerging Taxpayers before extending to Government entities and Large Taxpayers, in a structured rollout designed to ensure stability and effectiveness.
The NRS reaffirmed that the launch of Rev360 reflects its commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and leadership in building a modern tax system that supports Nigeria’s economic growth.
