Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, and Minister of Solid Minerals , Dele Alake, have celebrated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday, commending her contributions to public service and humanitarian development.
Obasa, in a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dave Agboola, on behalf of his family, colleagues and the entire staff of the Lagos State House of Assembly, described the First Lady as a phenomenal leader and mentor whose years of public service remained a “masterclass in purposeful governance.”
The Speaker said the Lagos Assembly remained grateful for Tinubu’s foundational role and guidance during her tenure as First Lady of Lagos State, adding that her political mentorship had shaped leadership journeys in the state and beyond.
“Your transition from the state level to becoming a three-term Senator and now the First Lady of the Republic has been a masterclass in purposeful public service,” Obasa stated.

He also praised Tinubu’s work through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), particularly its interventions for women, vulnerable households, education and youth development.
Obasa highlighted the initiative’s empowerment of petty traders with ₦50,000 grants across the six geopolitical zones, as well as the provision of livelihood equipment including freezers, generators and grinding machines.
He further commended the First Lady’s five-point welfare initiatives, including the Emergency Cash Transfer Programme and HOPE-SP, which he said had provided support to vulnerable households.
On education, Obasa cited the renovation of the Alternative High School for Girls in Agboju, Lagos, and the distribution of more than 140,000 educational books through the “Educating Linda” scholarship drive.
He also recognised Tinubu’s environmental advocacy through the RHI Green Nigeria Challenge, aimed at encouraging youths to champion climate action.
Obasa added that her partnership with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remained a positive contribution to Nigeria’s democratic process.
Alake, in a separate birthday message shared on X, also praised the First Lady’s commitment to the well-being of Nigerians.
“Over the years, I have witnessed your warmth and genuine concern for the well-being of others. You have brought these qualities to every responsibility you have undertaken, with a sense of duty and commitment to serving our people,” Alake said.
He noted that Tinubu’s dedication to women, children, families and communities was reflected in the work of the Renewed Hope Initiative.
“Your dedication to women, children, families and communities is reflected in the work of the Renewed Hope Initiative, which continues to reach people across the country and create opportunities that improve lives,” he added.
Alake prayed for continued good health, wisdom and fulfilment for the First Lady, while wishing her greater joy and more opportunities to contribute to the progress of Nigeria.
