Former Labour Party presidential campaign spokesperson and legal practitioner, Kenneth Okonkwo, has said he has not been officially notified of any defamation lawsuit reportedly instituted against him by former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, insisting that neither Obi nor his legal team has served him with any court documents.
Okonkwo made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television, where he addressed reports circulating in the media that a defamation action had been filed against him. According to him, despite the widespread discussions surrounding the alleged suit, he had not received any formal court process at the time of the interview.
The lawyer maintained that the comments attributed to him were based entirely on issues that were already in the public domain.
