Osun 2026: Adeleke Don’t Sleep; You’re About to Be Rigged Out — Primate Ayodele Alleges

Less than 30 days to the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned Governor Ademola Adeleke to remain vigilant, warning that there are alleged plots to rig him out of office.

The cleric gave the warning in a video circulating online, where he urged the governor not to lower his guard as the countdown to the poll enters its final weeks.

Addressing Adeleke directly, Primate Ayodele said, “Adeleke don’t sleep. You are about to be rigged out. Don’t sleep. Make sure you hold your walking stick firmly or better still add more in case they snatch one from you so you can use another one to balance.”

Although the cleric did not elaborate on the basis of his warning, the statement comes amid heightened political activities and growing tension ahead of the governorship election scheduled for August 15.

His latest prophecy appears to mark a shift in emphasis from his earlier declaration in 2025, when he publicly predicted that Adeleke would secure a second term, insisting that the governor had been divinely ordained to win the 2026 election irrespective of the opposition’s candidate.

NAIJAONPOINT reports that the warning is also coming against the backdrop of rising political tension in Osun State over the past month. The state has witnessed several security concerns, including violent clashes linked to rival cult groups in parts of Osogbo and other communities, resulting in casualties and heightened public anxiety. Political actors have traded accusations over the incidents, with rival parties repeatedly blaming one another for the violence while denying any involvement. Security agencies have, however, continued investigations into the attacks as stakeholders call for peaceful conduct before, during and after the election.
