Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi, has distributed 15,000 cocoa seedlings to farmers across the 10 wards in Ife North Local Government Area of the state.
Oyewusi disclosed this in a post via his X handle on Friday, September 4, as part of his “Planting Seeds of Prosperity” initiative.
The deputy speaker said the intervention was aimed at strengthening agriculture, supporting farmers and creating sustainable livelihoods in the constituency.

According to him, the distribution of the seedlings is part of efforts to “promote agriculture, empower farmers and create sustainable livelihoods.”
He said the initiative would provide farmers in Ife North with support to expand cocoa production while contributing to economic opportunities within the area.
Oyewusi said the seedlings were distributed across all 10 wards of Ife North as part of his efforts to support agricultural development and improve the livelihoods of farmers.
