People de@d as plane crashes at airport and explodes into fireball

A plane has crashed and exploded into a fireball in terrifying scenes at a airport in Warsaw, Poland.

 

Officials have confirmed people have di£d in the incident.

 

The small aircraft went down close to Warsaw’s Bemowo Airport at around 1pm today, June 25, as emergency services raced to the scenes. 

 

According to reports by local media, two people di£d and two were injured.

 

The two who were injured are reported to be bystanders but it is unclear if they were struck by the plane or were injured trying to help those on the plane. The plane continued to burn close to the runway before it was finally extinguished by the local fire crews.

Chief Inspector Marta Sulowska, spokeswoman for the Bemowo police station, told Polish media outlet TVN24: “It concerned a light aircraft that had crashed and was on fire. Firefighters are on site. Police are securing the area, and all operations are ongoing.”

 

The incident caught the attention of many in the area after some reported hearing a loud bang shortly before seeing smoke rising in the sky.

 

Some took to social media to post about what they had witnessed with some saying the saw the aircraft “flying strangely” moments before the crash.

 

One wrote: “A plane crashed in Bemowo. It was flying strangely, which caught my attention. Then I lost sight of it, a bang and clouds of black smoke.”
