Nigerian singer Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi, has opened up about how his life changed dramatically after meeting Afrobeats superstar Davido and how that encounter effectively ended his seven-year relationship.

Speaking on the talk show Lights, Camera, It’s My Turn alongside Falz, VJ Adams, and Tope Olowoniyan, Peruzzi recounted how the sudden shift in his fortunes overwhelmed him to the point where he completely stopped reaching out to his long-term girlfriend.

He described the speed at which things changed after meeting Davido one day they met, and the next he was on a flight to Dubai, followed shortly by a trip to Lebanon.

Caught up in the excitement of his new lifestyle and the company of friends, he said he went days without sending his partner so much as a text message.

When asked why he did not reach out to share the good news with her, Peruzzi suggested that his reaction reflected where he was emotionally in the relationship at the time, implying that deeper feelings might have prompted a different response.

He acknowledged that the sudden taste of success and a lifestyle he had never experienced before played a significant role in how he handled things.

Peruzzi also touched on the nature of his early bond with Davido, describing it as more of a brotherly connection than a professional one particularly meaningful given that he had recently lost his mother around the time they first crossed paths.
