The Nigeria Police Force has assured National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed for the Osun State governorship election of adequate security before, during and after Saturday’s poll.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Aniedu Okokon, and the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Osun election, CP Samuel Etaifo Erale, gave the assurance during a visit to NYSC members in the state on Thursday.
The visit, undertaken on the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Rilwan Olatunji Disu, was aimed at reassuring corps members of a safe and seamless electoral process as they undertake their national assignment.


The police officers urged the corps members to remain calm, professional and committed to their duties, assuring them that their safety remains a priority.
The corps members reportedly expressed enthusiasm and readiness to participate in the electoral exercise.
