A young businessman, Isma’il Makaye, has died under mysterious circumstances at the residence of his girlfriend, popular TikTok personality and Solo dancer, Fati Cele, in Kano State.
According to sources, the incident occurred on Friday morning when Fati Cele reportedly raised an alarm after a fire broke out in her home.
Neighbours who responded to the distress call allegedly found Makaye with burn injuries and traces of blood on his body.
Sources close to the deceased said he was rushed to Nassarawa Hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.
He was subsequently buried at Unguwa Uku Yan Awaki area of Kano.
Speaking to SolaceBase on the development, Kano Police Spokesman, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said, Fati Cele is in custody as the command commences investigation.

Kiyawa said Fati, who sustained burns on her hands, was taken to hospital for treatment.
SolaceBase gathered that the body of the deceased body, sustaining burns, had injuries, while a shoe belonging to Fati had blood stains.
Friends of the deceased and the TikTok star reportedly revealed that the pair had previously experienced relationship issues and had separated before recently reconciling.
