Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has questioned rapper Zlatan Ibile’s alleged ₦500 million bank balance, expressing disbelief that a Nigerian musician could have such a huge amount sitting in a personal account.
The controversy began after Zlatan shared a screenshot showing a balance of more than ₦500 million in one of his bank accounts, prompting reactions from fans and social media users.
Portable subsequently reacted to …, questioning the source of the money and suggesting that the funds might not belong to Zlatan.
He also called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the bank accounts of celebrities, while alleging that some musicians could be using businesses as fronts for undisclosed financial activities.
“You can have 500 million naira in your account balance, and it’s not yours. It can be money laundering. Which Nigerian artiste will say they have 500 million naira in their account? Who are the people downloading your music? How many songs have you dropped in a year? It’s clearly money laundering.”

Portable further questioned Zlatan’s earnings from music, shows and his clothing business, insisting that the amount was difficult to explain.
“EFCC needs to check all these celebrities’ accounts. You are just using the clothing business as a front. You are not the owner of the 500 million naira. Nigerian artistes cannot have 500 million naira in their account.”
He added that while musicians could make money legitimately, he remained unconvinced about the balance displayed by Zlatan.
“Music is decent; we make money, but this one posted is not true. It’s not possible to have 500 million naira. Don’t you invest? Don’t you have people you help? Tell us the truth.”
Zlatan later responded to Portable’s comments, mocking him for being surprised by the reported balance.
“With all the soap and Fanta, 500m still go far for my guy eye,” Zlatan replied.
