According to Reuters, Manchester City led the spending charts with £458 million invested, while Chelsea spent £349 million and Tottenham Hotspur committed £303 million as clubs continued to reshape their squads after the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The window also produced four transfers that entered the top 11 most expensive signings in Premier League history.

The spending was not restricted to the traditional elite. According to Reuters, promoted sides Ipswich Town, Coventry City and Hull City collectively spent more than £400 million preparing for life in the Premier League, while approximately 38 per cent of all deals were completed between Premier League clubs.
