Former Minister of State for Science and Technology, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, has commended card-carrying members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for coming en masse to choose their presidential candidate in the party’s primary and ensuring victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ikoh, who spoke to journalists shortly after he and members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) voted for the president during Saturday’s APC presidential primary, said he will mobilise more support for President Tinubu.
He stated that he and members of RHA would ensure the reelection of Tinubu to demonstrate his (Tinubu’s) growing grassroots political strength in Ikwuano LGA.
Ikoh, who is the leader of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Abia State, informed that during the presidential primary, he mobilised his members across the state to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former Minister, who coordinates the Renewed Hope Movement in Abia State, insisted that members of APC in his Ahuwa-Oboro Ward 3, Ikwuano LGA, moved around Wards to ensure that Tinubu wins the primary, adding that they would also do so during the 2027 election.
The immediate past Minister of Science and Technology, who was defeated in the governorship primary held on Thursday, therefore charged his supporters to remain united and queue behind President Tinubu.
According to him, Tinubu’s economic reforms and infrastructural drive would ultimately reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth and prosperity.
“We’re taking the message of Renewed Hope directly to the people. The support we’re seeing today is a clear indication that our people believe in the vision of the President and are ready to stand with him,” he said.
