The Northwest Stakeholders Forum of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has accused the National Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, of attempting to interfere in the party’s internal affairs through the alleged purchase of nomination forms for all 69 elective positions under the party’s platform by a non-member.
SolaceBase reports that the chairman of the forum, Abdulkadir Musa Giza, made the allegation during a media briefing on Sunday in Kano, where he described the development as a threat to democratic practice and internal party democracy in Kano State and beyond.
According to Giza, the forum had confirmed that nomination forms for all 69 elective positions in the PRP were purchased by a single individual who is not a member of the party.
He added that similar actions had been observed in several other political parties.
He said the development was unacceptable and could not be tolerated by a party founded on the principles of justice, democratic participation and fairness.

“We are particularly disturbed by reports linking Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to this exercise,” Giza said.
The PRP stakeholders questioned why Kwankwaso would seek to have the nomination tickets of several political parties under his control, arguing that such actions could undermine the democratic rights of genuine party members seeking elective offices.
“Such actions, if allowed to continue, amount to political deception and an attempt to undermine the democratic rights of genuine party members who wish to contest elections under their respective party platforms,” he said.
Giza described the situation as “political robbery,” warning that it poses a serious threat to internal party democracy and could create confusion, disputes and disorder in the electoral process.

He appealed to Kwankwaso to allow political parties to operate independently and democratically, insisting that the PRP should be spared from what the forum considers a deliberate attempt to interfere in its affairs.
“We have credible and committed party members who wish to contest for various elective positions under the PRP, and their rights must be respected and protected,” he said.
The forum warned that it would pursue legal action if the alleged interference persists.
“Should this interference continue, legal action will be our only option in defending the integrity and independence of our party,” Giza said.
