Residents across several communities in Ikorodu, Lagos, in Nigeria are once again discussing an unverified and long-circulating story about a mysterious woman reportedly seen in different locations during the month of June, just before the annual Orò festival.
According to accounts shared on social media and within local circles, the woman is described as having striking physical features, including what some claim are unusual eyes and ears.
These descriptions, however, remain purely anecdotal and have not been independently verified.
Reports circulating among residents suggest that she has allegedly been spotted in areas such as Odoguyan, Imota, Irawo, Ebute, Idera, and Bayeku over the past few years, often appearing briefly before disappearing.
Some versions of the story claim she is always seen carrying a child on her back and wearing the same outfit during each sighting.
There are also claims widely regarded as folklore that she does not speak and vanishes without explanation after being seen walking through communities.
Other dramatic versions shared online include alleged encounters with local vigilantes and supernatural elements such as “unusual appearances under flashlight,” but none of these claims have been substantiated by credible evidence or official reports.
