A man has gone viral on social media after emotionally recounting how he discovered that his girlfriend of six years had been involved in a relationship with his best friend.
Man’s six years relationship ends
According to the account he shared online, the man said he found out that the woman he had dated for six years had been cheating on him with someone he considered his close friend.
He stated that after learning about the affair, he pleaded with his girlfriend to end the relationship with his friend. However, she refused to do so.
Emotional outburst after discovery
In a video shared online, the man was seen crying uncontrollably as he questioned why the woman would betray him after spending several years together.
While expressing his pain, he repeatedly lamented the situation and asked what he had done to deserve such treatment.
“Six years, six years, six years, what did I do? What did I do to deserve all these from you? Why did you cheat on me with my best friend.”
The man further revealed that after he narrated his experience online, the woman assaulted him.
The incident has since sparked reactions on social media, with many users sympathising with the man and sharing differing opinions about trust, relationships and betrayal among friends.
