Spain have defeated Austria 3-0 in the World Cup Round of 32 to reach the Round of 16, setting up a clash against the winner between Portugal and Croatia.
Austria were outclassed on Thursday in their first World Cup knockout appearance in 44 years, with Spain having had a 65 percent ball possession and over 22 attempts, 10 of them on target.
Mikel Oyarzabal scored first for Spain in the 36th minute. Pedro Porro scored Spain’s second goal in the 66th minute.
