Andy Reid, an America football coach, revealed the simple advice wedding officiant Adam Sandler gave Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at their wedding.
The Kansas City Chiefs coach attended Swift and Kelce’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City Friday, July 3, and shared what Sandler told the newlyweds when the comedian officiated the ceremony.
“He said kiss every chance you get — every chance you have, every single day,” Reid said during an interview with CNN. “So whether you’re going to bed or going to work … go ahead and kiss her.”
“And I thought that was … in a simple way, in its simplest form, really, was touching that way.”
During a press conference Sunday, July 5, Reid repeated Sandler’s advice.
“Hard to argue when you give your wife a kiss, or your wife gives you a kiss, ” Reid said in video reporter Krysyan Edler’s post on X. “Make sure you do it every day, every minute, if you have an opportunity to do it, knock it out, and you won’t have problems.”
Reid sang Sandler’s praises as a wedding officiant.
“In a simply, hysterical way, he was a phenomenal … he’s crazy, but he did a great job in getting them married with a lot of humor but that part there I thought, pretty good advice, in its simplest form,” he shared.
Sandler is certainly qualified to dish out marriage advice because he’s been happily married to his wife, Jackie, for 23 years. The two tied the knot in June 2003.
Sandler and his two daughters — Sadie, 20, and Sunny, 17 — have been longtime fans of 36-year-old Swift, attending her Eras Tour in August 2023 as well as the red carpet premiere of the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” concert film in October 2023.
