A resurfaced video of Ghanaian traditional ruler Nana Ayebiafo Jnana predicting the finalists of the 2026 FIFA World Cup more than a year in advance is gaining renewed attention, after three of the four teams he named have reached this year’s semifinals.
In the video, Nana Ayebiafo Jnana, chief of Dumasua in the Brong Ahafo Region, declared: “Argentina, Spain, and France will be the finalists at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The final will be between Spain and Argentina, and Argentina will win. I’m not the one saying it; it’s the stars.”
As the tournament reaches its semifinal stage this week, Argentina, Spain, and France have all advanced, joined by England as the fourth semifinalist.
Spain defeated Belgium in the quarterfinals to set up a semifinal clash with France, while Argentina has continued its title defense from the 2022 tournament.
Nana Ayebiafo Jnana, born Jnana Caksus Das, is known locally as a mythical teacher in addition to his role as a traditional chief.
The World Cup final is scheduled for July 19, 2026, meaning his specific prediction of an Argentina-Spain final, and an eventual Argentina victory, remains to be tested in the coming week.
The clip has circulated widely on social media, with many users reacting to how closely the current semifinal lineup mirrors his forecast.
