A man has reportedly been assaulted by a group of area boys after they accused him of stealing a packet of cigarettes belonging to them.
In a video circulating online, the man was seen kneeling on the ground while some of the young men allegedly slapped him and subjected him to what appeared to be a form of punishment.
The group reportedly forced him to carry a concrete block as they continued to intimidate him over the alleged theft.
Throughout this maltreatment, the man failed to defend or utter a word, giving the impression that he indeed stole the cigarettes he was accused of.
The incident has sparked reactions from social media users, with many condemning the alleged actions of the group and questioning why they took the law into their own hands instead of reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities.
