President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, on his birthday, describing him as one of the exceptional governors of the current administration.
Tinubu, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday, August 25, celebrated Zulum for what he described as his academic, visionary and reformist approach to governance.
The President commended the Borno governor’s people-centred leadership, particularly his investments in human capital development through projects such as rural clinics, schools and skill acquisition centres.

Tinubu also praised Zulum for his pragmatism, ability to mobilise support around common objectives and efforts towards promoting national unity.
“Governor Zulum is one of the exceptional governors of this dispensation. He brought the rigour and discipline of academia into governance, introduced landmark reforms, and fostered development in Borno,” the President said.
Tinubu thanked the governor for his support and urged him to sustain what he described as exemplary leadership in the state.
“I thank him for his support and encourage him to keep providing exemplary leadership to the people,” he said.
The President also wished Zulum good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve Borno State and Nigeria.
“As he celebrates this birthday, I wish him more years of good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve Borno and the nation,” Tinubu said.
