Tinubu Sweeps Ebonyi APC Presidential Primary With 207,579 Votes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded a landslide victory in the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi State, securing all valid votes cast across the state’s 13 local government areas.

Announcing the results in Abakaliki, the State Collation Officer and Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, disclosed that the party has a total membership strength of 215,490, out of which 207,579 members were accredited and participated in the exercise.

According to the results declared, Tinubu polled 207,579 votes, representing all valid votes cast during the primary election.

A rival aspirant, Stanley Osiofor, failed to secure any vote in any of the local government areas.

The breakdown of the results showed that Tinubu secured 15,673 votes in Abakaliki, 10,718 in Afikpo North, 10,713 in Ohaozara, 16,413 in Ebonyi, 11,694 in Edda, 11,928 in Ohaukwu, 19,088 in Ezza South, 19,341 in Ikwo, 17,501 in Izzi, 8,406 in Ivo, 19,160 in Ishielu, 25,453 in Ezza North, 18,300 in Afikpo South, and 13,896 in Onicha Local Government Area.

Nwifuru described the outcome as a true and accurate reflection of the votes collated from across the state, affirming the credibility of the exercise.

The primary election, which was conducted simultaneously across wards and local government areas in Ebonyi State, ended with party officials commending the peaceful conduct of the process and the overwhelming support enjoyed by Tinubu among APC members in the state.
