Türkiye hails US-Iran deal as Fidan urges vigilance against spoilers

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has discussed the newly reached agreement between the United States and Iran with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, as regional powers reacted to a deal aimed at ending months of tensions.

During the phone call on Monday, according to Turkish Foreign Ministry sources, Araghchi thanked Türkiye for its contributions to the negotiation process that helped facilitate talks between Tehran and Washington.

Fidan welcomed the agreement and expressed hope that follow-up negotiations would also produce positive results, underscoring the importance of preserving the momentum generated by the breakthrough.

Fidan warns against attempts to undermine deal

Fidan stressed the need to remain alert against provocations that could jeopardise the agreement.

He said Türkiye would continue working to strengthen peace, stability and prosperity across the region, reaffirming Ankara’s commitment to diplomatic engagement.
