A drone strike has killed two people in Sumy in northern Ukraine, the head of the city’s military administration has said.
“As a result of a jet-powered drone strike on a post office, two people were killed, one of them a 49-year-old man; the identity of the second man is being established,” said the official, Sergiy Kryvosheenko, on Saturday.
In Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine, a man was injured in an “enemy attack”, said the head of the military administration there, Ivan Fedorov.
The strikes came a day after a Russian ballistic missile hit a private training ground in the Bucha district of the Kiev region, where a defence industry event was being held, killing at least 10 people and injuring about 100 others.
The event, hosted by a drone manufacturers’ association, was attended by representatives of Ukraine’s defence industry. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said such gatherings should not be held during wartime, particularly near residential areas.
