US-Iran War Live Updates: The US and Iran have reportedly agreed to renew talks in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday, June 30, Axios reported. The two warring nations trade strikes just days after signing an interim deal aimed at ending the war in West Asia within 60 days.
The latest bout of hostilities includes an Iranian projectile hitting a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, US bombings in Tehran, and further Iranian strikes on American military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain.
In the days after both held talks in Switzerland last week, Tehran has repeatedly emphasised its authority on the Strait of Hormuz.
A US official has now told Axios the critical waterway will remain open for vessels to move freely.
The Tuesday talks will once again focus on honouring the 14-points agreed under the interim peace deal.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah asserted its right to defend homeland and people and said it is monitoring the situation in Lebanon.
