Video: Iran releases first unseen footage of Khamenei’s destroyed Tehran home after US-Israeli strike; watch here

Iran’s state media has published a video showing the inside of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s Tehran residence for the first time since it was struck during the opening phase of the US-Israeli military campaign earlier this year.

The footage was released on Thursday, the same day Khamenei is being laid to rest, offering the first public view of the destruction inside one of Iran’s most closely guarded compounds.

The 35-second clip focuses on the Imam Khomeini Hussainiya, a hall within the Tehran compound where Khamenei frequently addressed the nation and held high-level meetings.

The video shows collapsed sections of the building, bent steel supports and large amounts of rubble scattered across the site, reflecting the extent of the damage caused by the airstrikes.

Khamenei was killed on February 28, the first day of the US-Israeli military operation against Iran. Several of his family members, including his 14-month-old granddaughter, also died in the attack. His son, Mojtaba Ali Khamenei, who later assumed the role of Supreme Leader, was injured.

Burial brings week-long farewell to a close

Renewed military action fuels regional tensions

The release of the footage comes as the confrontation between Washington and Tehran intensifies once again.
