Residents of the Ugwuoba community in Enugu State have expressed outrage after a woman was accused of forcing a child under her care to eat human faeces.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the woman being paraded through the community as a crowd, including several women, publicly condemned the alleged act, describing it as inhumane and unacceptable.
During the procession, one of the women claimed that the victim is the suspect’s niece, alleging that the child had been subjected to the abuse while in her care.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged incident have not been independently verified, and authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
The video has since sparked widespread condemnation online, with many Nigerians calling for a thorough investigation and stronger enforcement of child protection laws to ensure justice for the child if the allegations are substantiated.
