Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has opened up on his rules and principles on collaborations in the music industry.
While speaking during an interview on TVC, Spyro revealed that he maintains strict standards over the kind of content he is linked to.
He explained that he does not permit smoking or nudity in videos he features in and avoids working with artists whose projects promote inappropriate themes.
“You can’t be in a video with me and you’re smoking. That can’t happen. You can’t be in a video with me and you’re naked. That won’t happen. I have rules and regulations to working with people”, he said.
Spyro spoke about his type of music and his goal in the Nigerian music industry, noting that he declines features on songs that do not align with those standards.
“I can’t be on a song that is not clean, to start with, When I did ‘Sweet’ with Shoday, Shoday was promoting it in some funny kind of way, and I called him. I said, ‘Shoday, give your life to Christ.’ And he said I should continue my own while he faces his,” he added.
