Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, a renowned and well respected activist has disclosed the same why he vowed to flush bandits out of all forests in Kwara State.
According to the statements shared by VANGUARD on Friday July 24th, 2026 he pointed out that forests in Kwara State cannot be used to perpetrate evil. Watch Video Here ➜
The security concerns in Kwara State and it’s environs had significantly improved since the launch of the ‘Iru Ekun’ security outfit headed by the respected activist.
However, while several concerns were raised regarding the credibility of his security outfit, Sunday Igboho maintained that security of lives and properties of indigene across all Yorubalands were non-negotiable.
He further disclosed that efforts were being made to reclaim all forests from bandits and criminal elements, maintaining that they will not be allowed to use the forests to unleash mayhem on the people.
He concluded by expressing his gratitude to the Kwara State governor, Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq for his cooperation in the fight against insecurity.
The statements from Sunday Adeyemo Igboho however, generated mixed reactions amongst the populace as many remained sceptical, arguing that his security outfit were not adequately equipped to combat the bandits.
“Iru Ekun Security Network would reclaim forests in Kwara State from bandits, criminal elements would no longer be allowed to use the state’s forests to perpetrate evil.” He said.
