World Cup 2026 confirmed quarter-final fixtures, time, venue

The quarter-final line-up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been confirmed following the conclusion of the Round of 16, with eight nations remaining in the race to lift football’s biggest prize.

Defending champions Argentina remain in contention after surviving a major scare against Egypt, while European heavyweights England, Spain, France and Belgium also progressed. Morocco are the only African nation left in the competition after eliminating co-hosts Canada, while Norway and Switzerland complete the final eight.

Quarter-finalists confirmed after last 16 ties

The teams that have reached the quarter-finals are:

Morocco – beat Canada 3-0

France – beat Paraguay 1-0

Norway – beat Brazil 2-1

England – beat Mexico 3-2

Spain – beat Portugal 1-0

Belgium – beat the United States 4-1

Argentina – beat Egypt 3-2

Switzerland – beat Colombia 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw

The quarter-finals feature six European nations, alongside South American giants Argentina and African champions Morocco.

World Cup quarter-final fixtures

The last-eight matches will be played across four venues in the United States.

France will face Morocco on Thursday, July 9, at Boston Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 21:00 GMT+1.

Spain meet Belgium on Friday, July 10, at Los Angeles Stadium, with the match starting at 20:00 GMT+1.

Norway will take on England on Saturday, July 11, at Miami Stadium, with kick-off at 22:00 GMT+1.

The final quarter-final will see defending champions Argentina face Switzerland at Kansas City Stadium on Saturday, July 11. The match kicks off at 02:00 GMT+1 on Sunday.

The winners will advance to the semi-finals, moving two victories away from becoming 2026 FIFA World Cup champions.
