Iran-US war news: Amid escalating tensions and fresh military exchanges between Iran and the United States, Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Saturday issued a blistering statement, terming US President Donald Trump’s signature on the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the two countries last month as “worthless and invalid”.
Mojtaba Khamenei warns of ‘unforgettable lessons’ for US
In his latest statement, Mojtaba Khamenei said the “Satan” US seeks to incite war in the region, and vowed that Iran will teach “unforgettable lessons” to the “American enemy”.
“Now that the American enemy seeks to incite war and bear its most serious consequences, it should know that the dear Iranian nation and the axis of resistance have unforgettable lessons to offer it,” Khamenei said, according to Iranian state media.
Iran suspends MoU commitments amid US violations
Khamenei’s remarks come amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington, with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announcing earlier in the day that his country has officially suspended adhering to its commitments to the 14-point MoU, citing violations by the US.

Practically, America has trampled on all its commitments and suspended them all,” he said, according to Fars News agency.
“We have also suspended all our commitments under that memorandum of understanding, known as the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, and we are not currently fulfilling those obligations,” added.
