The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has urged members of the FCT to support him and President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on Monday while addressing residents at Kado Fish Market during an inspection of the Deidei to Life Camp Road, he vowed to reciprocate the favour if the residents oblige his request.
According to Wike, if they do for him, he would do for them because an agreement must be respected.
Wike told FCT residents that if they did for him, he would do for them, because agreements must be respected.
The minister promised to install streetlights if the residents kept to their promise.
He said: “This part of life is agreement, isn’t it? If you do for me, I do for you, no be so?
“Now that the president has fulfilled his own promise, you must fulfil your own promise, isn’t it so? Don’t worry, we will install streetlights here.”
Meanwhile, Tinubu has labelled the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, as ‘landlord’.
NewsWatch Nigeria reports that Tinubu made the remark while the duo exchanged pleasantries on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Wike and a few other government officials were at the airport on Sunday to receive the president, who returned from Lagos State.
In a video, President Tinubu could be heard telling the former Rivers State Governor, “Landlord, you are back?”
Recall that Wike has been in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to ensure that his loyalists scale through the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections in the state.
