A group of youths comprising civil society organizations and concerned Nigerians has staged a protest at the Oyo State Secretariat, demanding the release of the abducted pupils, students, and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area.
The protesters commenced their march from Mokola, moving through major roads in Ibadan before converging on the secretariat to press home their demands.


They decried the recurring abduction of students from schools and the growing concerns over the safety of learning environments, calling on government at all levels to strengthen security in schools across the country.
The youths also vowed not to relent in their agitation until the abducted victims are rescued and safely reunited with their families.
