2027: Dickson to inaugurate NDC Selection Committee today

According to the statement, the committee will review, scrutinise and consider the reports and recommendations of the National Screening Committee and the State Houses of Assembly Screening Committees.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, will on Monday inaugurate its 21-member Selection Committee ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The inauguration is scheduled to hold by 4:00 p.m. at the NDC National Secretariat.

The party said the committee was constituted following the successful completion of its screening exercise for governorship, National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly aspirants.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the NDC National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq.

According to the statement, the committee will review, scrutinise and consider the reports and recommendations of the National Screening Committee and the State Houses of Assembly Screening Committees.

It added that the committee is also expected to take appropriate decisions on the screening outcomes of all aspirants.

The committee will be chaired by the NDC National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas Zuwoghe.

The party said the committee was set up in line with its commitment to transparency, internal democracy and credible candidate selection.

It added that the committee was the brainchild of the NDC National Leader, working with the recommendations of the National Working Committee, NWC.

The statement said the move is part of ongoing preparations by the party to present strong candidates for all positions to be contested in the general election.

The inauguration will be performed by the NDC National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson.
