The Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, RHA, Prince Ikim, has called for greater unity, discipline and coordinated grassroots mobilisation among support groups to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno.
Ikim made the call on Friday while receiving members of the Tinubu Torchbearers, TTB, during a courtesy visit to the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Campaign Headquarters on Udo Udoma Avenue in Uyo.
The delegation was led by the State Coordinator of the Tinubu Torchbearers, Mrs. Inyene Bassey, alongside other members of the group’s leadership.
Addressing the visitors, Ikim commended the Tinubu Torchbearers for their commitment to grassroots mobilisation and public engagement, describing their efforts as crucial to promoting government policies and strengthening citizens’ understanding of ongoing reforms.
He said Nigeria was currently undergoing a period of transformation under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, with reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, strengthening institutions, creating opportunities for citizens and laying the foundation for sustainable growth.
According to him, support groups have a vital role to play in educating citizens, encouraging public participation and sustaining confidence in government programmes.
“At a time when our nation is undergoing critical reforms, organisations such as yours play an important role in enlightening citizens, strengthening public engagement and sustaining support for national development policies,” he said.
Ikim praised President Tinubu for what he described as courage and resilience in implementing difficult but necessary reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that the administration remains focused on rebuilding confidence and promoting inclusive growth despite existing challenges.
The RHA coordinator also acknowledged the contributions of First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, applauding her efforts in empowering women and encouraging greater participation in governance, economic development and community advancement across the country.
Turning to developments in Akwa Ibom State, Ikim commended Governor Umo Eno for delivering people-centred governance through the ARISE Agenda.
He said the administration’s investments in infrastructure, economic empowerment and social welfare programmes had continued to improve the lives of residents and strengthen public confidence in government.
“Through the ARISE Agenda, Akwa Ibom State continues to witness remarkable progress across critical sectors. The administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic empowerment and social welfare has renewed confidence among our people and demonstrated the value of visionary leadership,” he stated.
Ikim further stressed the importance of unity among support groups, noting that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors operate under the principle of “one party, one message, one mobilisation framework.”
According to him, the approach promotes discipline, strategic engagement and effective communication of government policies at the grassroots level.
He urged members of the Tinubu Torchbearers to remain committed ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda by engaging citizens with facts, civility and patriotism.
“As representatives of this movement, your mission is not only to mobilise support but also to inspire confidence, promote understanding and foster unity among our people,” he said.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of the Tinubu Torchbearers, Mrs. Inyene Bassey, said the organisation was established to mobilise support for President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno and other APC candidates, while promoting the policies and achievements of the current administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
She described the visit as an opportunity to deepen collaboration with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and reaffirm the group’s commitment to projecting the vision and accomplishments of the Tinubu administration.
Also speaking, the State Woman Leader and Director-General of the Tinubu Torchbearers, Obongawan Obonodo Uko, highlighted the critical role of women in grassroots mobilisation and voter education.
She pledged that the group would expand its outreach programmes across communities to ensure citizens are adequately informed about the achievements and policies of the APC-led administration.
Uko also commended Prince Ikim for his accessibility, dedication and leadership, noting that his efforts had significantly strengthened the Renewed Hope movement in Akwa Ibom State.
Members of the delegation described Ikim as a dependable ally in advancing the Renewed Hope message and consolidating grassroots support for the APC across the state.
