The Renewed Hope Youth Engagement (RHYE) has inaugurated its Kano State chapter and regional coordinators for Kano Central, Kano North and Kano South Senatorial Districts as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand youth participation in governance and politics.
The newly inaugurated Kano State Coordinator of RHYE, Dr Dahir M. Hashim, who is also the Kano State Commissioner for Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
He said the inauguration laid the foundation for a disciplined and technology-driven structure dedicated to mobilising young people, amplifying government achievements, deepening community engagement and promoting meaningful political participation.
Dr. Hashim expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him to lead the organisation in Kano State, describing the appointment as an opportunity to contribute to youth empowerment and political development.

“I am deeply honoured by the confidence reposed in me to lead this important movement in Kano State,” he said.
According to him, the inauguration ceremony was attended by the National Coordinator of RHYE, Abdulaziz Abubakar Kaka, the Kano State Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy, Dr. Gaddafi Sani Shehu, the Kwara State Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, as well as state coordinators from Plateau, Kaduna and Yobe states.
He added that party leaders, stakeholders and numerous young progressives committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda also attended the event.
Dr. Hashim noted that under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, young people in Kano State have become active participants in governance and development rather than mere spectators in the political process.
“Under the compassionate and inclusive leadership of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, young people in Kano have moved beyond being mere spectators in politics to becoming active participants in governance and development,” he stated.

The RHYE coordinator further reaffirmed the group’s commitment to sustaining youth engagement and strengthening grassroots support ahead of future elections.
He said the organisation would continue to build on the momentum created by the current administration and work collectively towards achieving its political objectives in the years ahead.
“We remain committed to building on this momentum and working collectively to deliver overwhelming victories in 2027 and beyond,” he added.
The inauguration is expected to provide a coordinated platform for youth mobilisation across Kano State’s three senatorial districts in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
