A Nigerian Legal Analyst at the World Bank Group, Vivian Irondi, has said that since all men can disappoint, women might as well choose wealthy and self-respecting ones as husbands.
Irondi who stated this in a Facebook post on Thursday, July 23, 2026 argued that money can at least provide financial comfort because marriage gets difficult over time.
“All men will disappoint you. So, if you’re going to deal with one and get married to him, my dear sister please deal with one that has a lot of money and respect for himself. Marriage doesn’t get easier. It gets more difficult with children and family responsibilities,” she wrote.
