‘APC Allergic To Democratic Competition’ – Buba Galadima

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain, Buba Galadima, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being allergic to democratic competition.

NewsWatch Nigeria reports that Galadima made the allegation during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’, on Monday, while speaking on the defection of former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso, from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to NDC.

Galadima also accused the APC of destroying all opposition parties to ensure that President Bola Tinubu is the only candidate in 2027.

According to him, “The government of the day and the ruling party have gone to town to destroy all political parties. They destroyed the NNPP and LP, on which both Kwankwaso and Peter Obi ran in 2023.

“They (the APC) want to assure themselves that the only way they can win elections is to have a single candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in 2027. They are allergic to democratic competition.”

Meanwhile, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has said the opposition parties’ accusation that the APC is destroying them is due to the ruling party’s performance.

Sule stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, saying the APC is performing better than the opposition political parties.

According to Sule, the opposition parties feel it is being destroyed because the APC is performing beyond expectations.

He said, “If anything is destroying the opposition parties, it’s our performance because we in the APC are performing better than they ever expected.”

Speaking further, Sule boasted that President Bola Tinubu would win the 2027 presidential election, citing his economic reforms, which have been beneficial to Nasarawa State.
