In a statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, the party joined Nigerians, party members and well-wishers across the world in celebrating Shettima on the milestone.

The party described attaining 60 as a significant milestone, saying it represents “not just by years, but by a lifetime of selfless service, profound intellect, and unyielding commitment to the progress and stability of our dear nation.”

The APC also highlighted Shettima’s period as Senator representing Borno Central, noting that his legislative contributions reflected his commitment to socio-economic development and national unity.

The party said Shettima had continued to demonstrate loyalty and strategic economic foresight since becoming Vice President under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“Senator Shettima continues to exemplify loyalty, strategic economic foresight, and unwavering commitment to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration,” the statement said.

It added that his leadership of the National Economic Council (NEC) and involvement in key economic initiatives were contributing to efforts towards sustainable development, industrial renaissance and improved prosperity for Nigerians.

The APC commended the Vice President for his “intellectual depth, humility, and bridge-building disposition,” describing him as an “invaluable pillar” of the APC-led Federal Government and an inspiration to younger African leaders.

The party’s National Working Committee, leaders, stakeholders and members also prayed for Shettima’s continued good health, wisdom and strength as he serves the country.
