The All Progressives Congress (APC) has flagged off its Northeast campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The campaign, held in Yola, Adamawa State, brought together APC leaders, supporters and stakeholders from across the region under the B-BAT campaign group.
Speaking at the event, APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, expressed confidence that voters in Adamawa and the Northeast would support President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He said, “We are confident that the people of Adamawa and the Northeast will overwhelmingly support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 because they can see the impact of his administration’s development projects across the region.”
Representing the national chairman, B-BAT Northeast Coordinator, Zakari Hashim, urged party members to begin door-to-door mobilisation.
He said, “Our responsibility is to take the message of the Tinubu administration to every household. We must go to the grassroots, engage the people and mobilise support for our candidates.”
The APC Adamawa State Chairman, Hamza Madagali, also called on supporters to intensify their grassroots activities.
“We must strengthen our structures at the grassroots and ensure that our people understand the projects and programmes being delivered by the Federal Government,” he said.
The party’s Adamawa Central senatorial candidate, Mustapha Salihu, urged members to remain committed to the mobilisation drive.
He said, “The work starts from the grassroots. We must engage our wards and polling units and convince voters with the achievements of the Tinubu administration.”
Representing Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Deputy Governor Kaletapwa George Farauta expressed confidence that Tinubu and other APC candidates would emerge victorious in 2027.
She said, “We are confident of victory because Nigerians and the people of Adamawa can see the performance of both the Federal Government and the Adamawa State Government.”
APC chieftain Pheneas Elisha and other speakers also pledged their support for Tinubu and the party’s candidates.
The B-BAT faithful from across the Northeast were urged to return to their respective constituencies and begin sustained grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
