The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder expressed his appreciation to the club and its supporters in a farewell message, reflecting on his time in Monaco and the role the club played in his return to competitive football.
“To the President, the staff, my teammates and to you, the fans, thank you for your trust and your support from day one to the last,” Pogba said.
The France international acknowledged that his spell at Monaco did not unfold as he had originally expected, but said the club provided him with an important opportunity to return to the pitch.
“It wasn’t the journey I had imagined, but this is where I found my way back onto the pitch, and for that I’ll always be grateful,” he added.
