APC Presidential Primary: Tinubu Garners 10.9m Votes, Defeats Osifo

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has defeated his rival, Stanley Osifo by 10.9 million votes across the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja in the just concluded presidential primary to emerge as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer.

While Tinubu garnered 10,999,162 votes across the states and FCT, Osifo got 16, 503 votes.

In some states Osifo got zero, while Tinubu scored huge number of votes. Specifically, in Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Yobe, Osun, Kogi, Enugu, Delta, FCT, Kebbi, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kwara, Ondo, Ekiti, Borno, Ogun, Sokoto, Cross River, Taraba and Gombe states, Osifo scored zero.

He scored one in Edo state and 1,186 votes in Lagos State.

This is even as the Chairman of APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, described the outcome of the primaries as a mock demonstration of what the general election will look like, adding that APC will win the 2027 election.
